Download issues

Hello: long time casual Mousebits user: never had an issue before with downloading, but now (through uTorrent) no matter what torrent I use from this site, I get one of two messages: either "offline(timed out)" or "ony one socket/protocol/network normally allowed" or something to that effect, and they just keep recycling the Update In... timer.

Only mousebits torrents seem to be affected. I have checked my settings, firewall, port forwarding, etc, and have rebooted the machine a couple of times. Also updated uTorrent. Any thoughts?
Thx.

Hmmm.
A few thoughts. Are these torrent files recently downloaded?
Does your IP block torrent sites (some do)?
Are there any other messages you get ?
From what you say, it seems that uTorrent is trying to connect to the wrong place and not finding it.
Maybe something has changed since the last time you downloaded from here. I'm getting "working" on my uTorrent.
I'd certainly check the firewalls etc again. They may have been set for details on mousebits that have changed since you last downloaded anything from here.
Other than that, can't think of what it could be but I think the answer is in your PC rather than the site.
Do try and download a really new torrent and see if the result is the same.
Maybe a tech specialist will have more info/suggestions for you.

Nope, everything else works...just mousbits torrents arent working. Just tested a torrent from another "well known" site with no issues.
So I dont know whats going on.

There's something stopping your PC connecting to the server but, as far as I can tell, it's not happening to others (certainly not to me) so it's your PC, not Mousebits.
It's called "TCP/IP client exhaustion". Have you got anything else using that port? Your PC seems to think it's already in use which is why you get that "only one port" message.
It's a little like trying to use your telephone while someone else is on the extension, if you follow.
I'd suggest Googling for "Only one usage of each socket address " (i quotes) and see if anything there rings a bell.
Sorry I can't suggest a solution (other than check PC for ant virus etc) or stop all other torrents/seeding and see if that helps (maybe another site uses the same ports?).
I'm really at the end of my knowledge now, sorry  ;D
Maybe a post on the uTorrent forums may help.
see the sticky there

but you may need to search a little for the actual answer.

I run uTorrent, often with 40+ concurrent torrents, and I don't have a problem with connecting.

Not being very technically minded, I was wondering if downloading other sites may confuse things so was suggesting stopping torrents from other sites and just downloading the ones from Mousebits as a test.
Sorry I didn't make that very clear.
I must  admit, I haven't had any problems with uTorrent either but I may be using different sites to WTRiker.
I didn't like to ask which ones  ;D
