Let me know if I am wrong about this. The only files that I can burn to a DVD and play on my DVD player are ISO files. My player won\'t play any other kind of file. What are my options regarding converting these other kind of files.
thanks

you need to burn those iso as images .. not just the plain iso as data .. you know that right ?

and you can turn any file on here to a dvd quite easy .. so you can play it on your dvd player

Yes - Windows Vista. :D

Windows Vista Premium or Ultimate Edition comes with a DVD authoring program which will convert those videos for you.

Or if you want to stick with Win XP, there are plenty other programs, not the least of which is the Nero product suite. I believe there are plenty other free programs online.

the easiest program I know is nero vision .. it just drag and drop .. and is pretty versatile :)

Yeah, but isn\'t nero\'s encoding not so hot? I\'ve done a couple burns with it, and several times have gone to watch my DVD only to find there is some serious encoding issues.

This is using Nero Express 6.3.1.26, BTW.

I would agree that Nero does a relatively poor job of converting. However, it\'s incredibly easy to do.

Has anyone tried the tools in Windows Vista yet?

There are also many free methods. Check out:
