Playing FLAC fles with iTunes

How do I add FLAC files to my iTunes Library? Is there a way to make them compatible with each other?
 
You need to convert the flac files to aiff, mp3, or some other format recognized by itunes - flac is not one of them.
 
i use xact... there's apparently a quicktime plugin for flac which allows itunes to play it natively now but i can't get it to work on my mac.
 
I also use xact and it works great. I just converted the DL Forever tracks to aiff with xact and it was fast and easy.

I can also play flac files in quicktime (using the plugin), but cannot get the tracks to play in itunes.
