Utorrent won't seed

Hi,

I'm using Utorrent and it doesn't want to seed the torrents I downloaded. :o
The port I set was and still is open.
I tried many things, but it just doesn't want to seed.
Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean you can;t change its status to Seeding, or do you mean its status says seeding but it does not upload?

1) Force recheck of the file, you may be 1k short or something.
2) Have you set it to seed? (Right Mouse click start opytion)

3) possibly no peers want it? or wrong no of peers displayed check torrent status on Mousebits and clear peer list (Right click/Advanced/Clear Peer List)

If, when it finishes downloading, it moves into the completed decion and shows 100% and "seeding", it's seeding.
Don't believe the number of seeds and peers it shows.
Also check at the bottom of the Utorrent screen.
Does it show a yellow triangle with a ! in it?
If it does, it's not getting incoming connections.
It should turn to a green circle with a tick in it.
Double click on it for a speed and port test window to open and let us know if it's got a problem.
As Pyro says, you can only seed if someone is trying to download it. I have loads of torrents with no seeds or peers (and do the recheck just in case).
Finally, try stoppin it and the starting it again (right click file).
Do let us know.

Hello again.

I did a recheck and I did cleared the peer list.
And I see a green circle with a tick in it.
I did a speed test and port test, they were okay.
One of the downloads I downloaded here was seeding yesterday.
I appreciate your help and the problem is completely gone. ;D
Thanks to all of you with helping me out of this little problem. ;)

That's great.
You know it's working so, if it stops seeding, it just means that nobody else is asking for those files at the moment or, if they are, they are using other seeders (there's a limit on how many seeders someone can download from) as allocated by their tracker etc.
Leave well alone now you know it's working ;D
